Franz designed the functional, natural and cozy hotel rooms in the renovation of the Original Sokos Hotel Valjus.
The rooms were modified to better meet the needs of customers to combine work and leisure time. Families were taken into account by creating lofted family rooms at the site.
Three different themes were created for the rooms, which were inspired by the local nature and the history of the hotel building and the city of Kajaani. The materials and color scheme vary in the rooms according to the concepts, from a light natural look to a darker and more atmospheric look.
The hotel corridors were renovated with a look that combines the three concepts, creating a calm atmosphere in the corridors.
The design area also included sauna facilities, a fitness room and a meeting room in the wine cellar. The hotel's facade also underwent a renovation.
